You can search for friends based on the Splatoon mode and skill level. When someone joins your recruitment, you can immediately start texting or voice chatting.

When posting a recruitment, you can select the following options:

- Number of players to recruit (up to 4 including yourself)
- Game mode (Open, Salmon Run, Turf War, Event, Private)
- Your rank (from C- to S+)
- Rank to recruit (from C- to S+)
- Voice chat (available, not available, or either)
